An especially dear part of Carrie’s life were
family get-togethers. The largest of the regular ones was
the Ingalls Reunion. Jacob Ingalls had settled in 1792 a
Norton Hill parcel just over the Greenville town line on
what is today’s Elm Lane. Although there were reunions
in the 1800s, the modern Reunion started in 1925,
celebrating Jacob Ingalls and his descendants. Carrie
notes every one of her diary’s length. . |
