Greenville as Shown in the Greenville Locals

Sharing local history is so exciting and important to me. I feel fortunate to explore the pages of the surviving Greenville Locals
and to glean from them those moments that seem to piece together the fabric of the town’s story.

These slideshow presentations review the later half of twentieth century Greenville through collections of digital clippings from The Greenville Local.

I have presented most of these presentations to the Greenville Local History Group and enjoyed the memories that others
have shared that help add color to the black and white newsprint.

Additionally, I often share these collections with the Greenville Local History Group Facebook page,
which has also created a unique platform for those near and far to share their memories and tell their own local histories.
